PokerStars to increase Sunday Million Guarantee to $2 Million

Online poker traffic continues to explode as poker players flock to online poker sites in response to the coronavirus pandemic that forced brick and mortar casinos to close across the globe. At the world’s largest online poker room, PokerStars, traffic is up 90% with no signs of stopping.

PokerStars is responding to the influx of players with its largest guarantee for the Sunday Million during the $109 buy-in era. This Sunday, the guarantee will increase from $1 million to $2 million. Reflecting the large field the tournament will likely generate, the tournament will extend to 2 days. Last Sunday, $2.31 million in prizes were generated for the tournament.
