The schedule for the 10th season of the European Poker Tour was released by PokerStars today.
Not much will change for the schedule from season 9, although the Italian stop in Sanremo will be moved back to April. Here is the full schedule:
Barcelona: 28 August, 2013 – 7 September, 2013
London: 2-12 October, 2013
Prague: 8-18 December, 2013
PokerStars Caribbean Adventure: 3-12 January, 2014
Deauville: 22 January, 2014 – 1 February, 2014
Berlin: 12-22 March, 2014
Sanremo: 6-16 April, 2014
Monte Carlo: 23 April, 2014 – 2 May, 2014
The EPT is continuing to keep the schedule small, staying at eight events (down from 13 in season 9), while continuing to build smaller regional tours, like the Estrellas Poker Tour and the UK & Ireland Poker Tour.
EPT President Edgar Stuchly had this to say after the announcement of the schedule:
“During a successful Season 9 where we decided to host fewer and bigger events incorporating the national tours, we listened to an enormous amount of player feedback who valued less time spent travelling, and more time spent playing. Since the Sanremo tournament will be held immediately before the EPT Grand Final in April, it will mean players can spend the whole month of April on the beautiful Riviera.”
While the actual tournaments at each stop still need to be announced, there will be €10,000 “high roller” events at Barcelona, London, Prague, Deauville, Berlin and Sanremo, a €25,000 tourney at the PCA, €50,000 tournaments in Barcelona and London, and a €100,000 event at both the PCA and the Grand Final.
