Bill Perkins Twitch StreamBoat Begins Broadcast

When Bill Perkins’s isn’t busy getting his Americas Cardroom account suspended at the hands of Dan Bilzerian, he’s hosting The Thirst Lounge on Twitch. On Wednesday, Perkins began the first day of his Streamboat broadcast, which will feature top Twitch poker streamers over 7 days on The Thirst Lounge “playing poker and having fun” on a boat live from the Virgin Islands.

Among those participating in Streamboat are Jeff Gross, Jaime Staples and Matt Staples. The broadcast is scheduled to run periodically until March 28th. Catch it here, with subscribers ($5) able to watch posted video clips.

– In the aftermath of the Cate Hall/Mike Dentale grudge match in which Hall beat Dentale 2-0, the focus hasn’t been on what happened at the poker table but instead what happened after. Apparently, neither Hall (the winner) or Dentale tipped the dealer after the match. The topic has brought up a firestorm on the contentious issue of tipping. The heads-up charity match was certainly a unique occurrence, but should the specifics matter?

– MPN (Microgaming) announced last week that it will be taking a harder line on player tracking. Hand histories will not be available for players on Anonymous tables or in hands where they did not contribute to the pot. The changes mean that HUDs will lose effectiveness and players at MPN will no longer be able to monitor their full results on cash game tables or any results on Anonymous tables.

– US Poker’s Steve Ruddock writes about how brick and mortar casinos are changing their image.
