The good people over at the World Series of Poker are making our jobs easy this year with a flood of informational material that saves us the time and trouble of assembling all of the various facts and informational bits that players might want (or need) to know.
In fact, just about every critical bit of information regarding the WSOP is available in a few handy PDF documents provided by Harrah’s. Here’s a little bit about each along with a link for viewing.
The 2009 WSOP Media Guide
The media guide is a bit more for trivia buffs than those seeking hard, useful info about this year’s World Series of Poker, but that doesn’t make it any less of an interesting read (at least for some – read: the poker nerds – among us). The media guide contains a staggering amount of World Series facts and figures, along with a decent slate of general information about this year’s WSOP.

The 2009 WSOP Staff Resource Guide
A massive document (232 pages) that is basically what the title suggests – a resource guide for WSOP staff. Turns out that a large amount of that information is also very useful to players, including a wealth of schedules, logistical information, room layouts, tournament structure sheets, and so on. The PDF is long and not much more than a collection of scanned pages (no TOC, sigh), but a quick scan through the doc will allow you to mark off the pages you might find useful later. It’s also a handy quick reference for knowing how the dealers (should) be looking at the games.
