Weekly High Stakes Report: ziigmund Up, durrrr Down

The big winner and the big loser for the week at Full Tilt’s high-stakes games hinged on one session by two players.

Ilari “ziigmund” Sahamies took Tom “durrrrr” Dwan for about a million dollars in one day this week, and that was enough to put them at the tops of the profit and loss standings at FTP.

Ziigmund logged profits of more than $2.1 million for the week, doing most of his damage against Dwan. He played just over 5,000 hands in having by far the best week of any player at Full Tilt.

No one else had more than a million in profits for the week. Ashton “theASHMAN103″ Griffin was second with $592K to the good.

A couple of players who had been struggling of late turned it around this week. Gus Hansen was up$567K, good for third for the week. Patrik Antonius was up about a quarter of a million for the week, which was the sixth-best mark.

Dwan was the biggest loser for the week, down a total of $1.5 million. No one else lost more than a million in the week. Cole South was second in net losses at -$545K.

For the first time in several weeks, Isildur1 did not play the most hands for the week. It was a relatively slow week for the mysterious Swede (who was identified as Viktor Blom by Luke “Full_Flush” Schwartz earlier in the week) He played 8,848 hands, which was only the fourth highest figure. Dwan played more than 19,000 hands, while URnotINdanger2 and Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo were both over 10,000 hands. Isildur1 logged modest losses of $87K.

For the year, ziigmund wrested the top spot from durrrrr, as he is now over $3 million up for 2010. Dwan, despite the heavy losses suffered this week, is still up $1.9 million for the year. Since the start of 2009, Sahamies is up more than $6 million, trailing only Phil Ivey for that time period.

Despite his good week, Antonius is still down $3.4 million for 2010.
