Unknown player “jungleman12″ continues to make a name for himself at Full Tilt’s high-stakes tables, taking the top spot on the weekly leaderboard.
In just 1,780 hands, he posted a net profit of $383,000 to lead all players at Full Tilt. He continued his recent tear at the online poker site, as he leads all players in May with $1.3 million in profit.
Jungleman12 also moved into second for the year, with $2.06 million in profit, bumping Phil Ivey ($2.02 million) into third place. Tom “durrrr” Dwan remained on top of the 2010 leaderboard with $3.23 million in profit. Jungleman12 has compiled the seven figures in profit in just under 80,000 hands. Seven other players have seven-figure profits for the year, behind the top three.
All in all, it was a relatively slow week at Full Tilt’s tables. No one won or lost more than half a million dollars, and only one player (harrington25) played more than 5,000 hands for the week. Dwan was noticeably absent, playing just 43 hands all week. With the World Series of Poker just days away from starting, we may be about to hit the summer doldrums for high-stakes play at Full Tilt. Mysterious Swedish player Isildur1, who has been playing sporadically of late, did not play this week.
Other players who scored decent profits for the week? Brian Hastings ($299K), Jared “Harrington25″ Bleznick ($291K) and Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond ($215K). It was Bleznick’s second straight week with more than $200K in profit, and he’s up about $850K for the month.
Some big names were among the week’s biggest losers. Patrik Antonius, who had grinded back to even after being down more than $3 million this year, had the worst week of anyone, dropping $347K in just 478 hands.
Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies lost $334K in just 180 hands to take second on the losers’ leaderboard. Gus Hansen, who had been running hot of late, was sixth among losers, down $245K.
Brian Townsend continued to lead all losers for the year by a wide margin; he’s lost $2.7 million in 2010.
