For the first time in a long time, someone other than Tom “durrrr” Dwan leads all cash-game players at Full Tilt Poker for 2010, as Phil Ivey climbed to the top spot with a big week.
Ivey booked more than $1.4 million in profit for the week, more than doubling the profit of the next most profitable player, jungleman12 (+$668K). And Ivey did it in just 5,387 hands.
Meanwhile, Dwan had a slow start in the latest installment of the durrrr Challenge, in which Dwan is playing jungleman12 in a 50,000-hand prop bet. Jungleman12, as evidenced by his spot at No. 2, had a good week against Dwan as the challenge began. It was a relatively slow week at the tables, as Dwan and jungleman12 were the only players to log more than 7,000 hands.
Cole South, who had been struggling of late after being +$3M for the year at Full Tilt, booked a tidy profit of $500K to move back in the black for 2010. He came in at No. 3.
Here are the top 10 players for the last week (click on any player for more information):
Phil Ivey $1,407,841
jungleman12 $668,603
Cole South $580,556
OMGClayAiken $324,716

Patrik Antonius $198,122
LokoIsBack $183,185
Sauce1234 $180,057
FinnishNightmre $155,359
Dwan lost more than half a million this week, but he wasn’t the big story on the losers’ leaderboard. That was Gus Hansen, who gave back more than $1.3 million during the week.
Hansen’s downswing had already reached epic proportions, and it’s just getting worse. After reaching all all-time high of +$3M in 2009, Hansen has dropped $12 million over the course of the last year and a half. He’s now down more than $9M for his career at Full Tilt, easily the worst career losses of any online player, ever.
Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies, after topping the leaderboard for profit last week, found himself on the wrong side of zero this week, coming in fifth on the losers’ leaderboard.
Here were the bottom 10 players for the week:
Gus Hansen -$1,348,068
URnotINdanger2-$650,650
durrrr -$566,014

Luukie21 -$148,647
As we said earlier, Ivey now leads all players for the year, with $3.8 million in profit, about $50K ahead of Dwan for 2010. It was a huge August for Ivey, who was up $2M for that month.
Jungleman12 joined those two players over $3M in profit for the year, the first time he has crossed that threshhold.
New in the top 10 this week is Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond, who inched into seven figures of profit this week.
Here are the top 10 players for all of 2010:
Phil Ivey $3,801,602

OMGClayAiken $1,098,347
Hansen made a big move up the year’s loss leaderboard, up to No. 2 behind Brian Townsend. Townsend still leads Hansen comfortably — he is actually down another $250K when combining his losses for his old Full Tilt red pro account, and the account he uses now, sbrugby.
Here are the top 10 losers for 2010:
