Weekly High Stakes Report: Ivey Profits

Phil Ivey has not been making the high-stakes tables at Full Tilt Poker a priority in 2010. But that didn’t stop him from taking home the most profit of any player at the online poker site this week.

Ivey won $579K during the week, despite the fact that he played just 1,474 hands.

While a few other players profited during the week, no one else eclipsed $300K. Jared “Harrington25″ Bleznick was second for the week with $242K, while jungleman12, who is an unknown player, was second at $232K.

Overall it was a pretty slow week at the nosebleed tables. Only Gus Hansen (+$163K) played more than 10,000 hands.

With the nice week, Ivey moved into second place on Full Tilt on the profit leaderboard for 2010, with $2 million to the good. Tom “durrrr” Dwan still leads for the year despite a recent downswing, at +$3.2 million. Eight other players are over a million in profit for the year: Di “Urindanger” Dang (+$1.74M), Alexander “Postflopaction” Kostritsyn (+$1.67M), jungleman12 (+$1.67M), Ashton “theashman103″ Griffin (+$1.52M), NEKOTYAN (+$1.3M), David Oppenheim (+$1.22M), LokoisBack (+$1.21) and Hansen (+$1.08M)

Ivey has logged his 2010 profit in just 18,461 hands, which is about 1/10th of the number of hands Dwan has played this year (185,766).

Brian Townsend continued what has been a miserable year, losing a site-worst $624K for the week. He has lost nearly twice the amount of any other player at Full Tilt for 2010, giving back $2.8 million over the course of more than 100K hands. Behind him for the year are Matatuk (-$1.49M), Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo (-$1.4M) and Richard Ashby (-$1.22M)

Mysterious Swedish player Isildur1 was spotted at some lower-limit tables this week, but did not appear in tracked hands.
