Usually there’s more than one player in a given week who kills it at Full Tilt’s high-stakes cash game tables. But this week there was one clear winner: Brian Hastings.
Hastings infamously took more than $4 million dollars from the mystery Swedish player, Isildur1, at the end of last year. While there was some controversy surrounding the session where Hastings took most of Isildur1’s bankroll (it came out later that he, Cole South, and Brian Townsend had shared hand histories of Isildur1 to help their play against the high-stakes phenom.), Isildur1 had no excuses this week. Hastings took about $1.5 million away from him in just under 3,000 hands of $500-$1,000 pot-limit Omaha.
That session accounted for most of Hastings’ profit, as he was up $1.7 million for the week in just under 3,500 total hands, for a profit of about $485 a hand.
Several other players made tidy profits for the month, although no one even approached Hastings. Ilari “ziigmund” Sahamies ($480K), Di “Urindanger” Dang ($408K) and Tom “durrrr” Dwan ($400K) took the next three spots for the week.
Isildur1 continues to drive the action at the high-stakes tables, whether he’s winning or losing. He played 13,777 hands, while only one other player logged more than 10,000 hands (LarsLuzak, 10,819). Isildur1, despite dropping $1.5 million to Hastings, only lost $1.07 million for the week, to lead all net losers.
Gus Hansen, who started the year hot, continued his recent downswing, giving back $942K on the week. After leading the 2010 profit leaderboard for parts of the year, Hansen’s profits have dwindled to $394K.
It was another down week for Patrik Antonius, as well, as he lost more money and continued to have the most net losses for 2010 — $3.7 million. The aforementioned Townsend is second at -$1.9M.
Dwan continued to lead the profit leaderboard, ahead more than $3.4 million for the year.
