After a hot start to 2010, things have been going downhill for Tom “durrrr” Dwan of late, including a net loss of seven figures at Full Tilt’s high-stakes tables in the last week.
At one point recently, Dwan was up more than $7 million for the year at Full Tilt, in what had been a huge rebound from a brutal end to 2009.
But things have turned against Dwan again in the last month, as he has given back $2.4 million over the last month, dating back to April 8th. That includes this week’s downswing of about $1.3 million in net losses. It took him just over 3,800 hands to post the big loss.
You’d think Patrik Antonius might have been responsible for a lot of that loss, seeing as the “durrrr Challenge” between the two players had been picking up steam. But monentum has waned once again, and no sessions were logged for the Challenge this week.
No one else had a seven-figure loss over the last week. The next biggest loser was Ashton “theASHMAN103″ Griffin, who was down $530K in just under 3,800 hands. Cole South was next at -$414K.
Mysterious Swedish player Isildur1 made his return to the virtual felt this week, but it was fairly short-lived. He posted losses of -$199K for the week, and it’s believed he is out of funds once again. After getting up to $1.5 million in profit at one point earlier this year, Isildur1 is down about $40K for the year now. He’s down about $2 million over his brief and volatile career.
Meanwhile, Gus Hansen made a killing at the tables this week, posting net profits of $1.1 million over the course of 7,245 hands. After hovering at about break even, Hansen is closing in on seven figures of profit for 2010 once again.
Second in the weekly standings was “jungleman12,” who got most of his profits for the week (totaling $538K) from a session with Dwan. Antonius made a tidy profit of $430K despite playing only about 2,500 hands.
Despite the brutal week, Dwan still leads all players at Full Tilt for 2010, posting profits of $3.2 million. No one else is even over $2 million in profit this year.
Behind Dwan, the players are stacked up, with nine players who have over $1 million in profit. Di “Urindanger” Dang is second at $1.8 million, followed by Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn ($1.6M).
Brian Townsend continued to lead all losers in 2010, as he’s down $2.1 million for the year.
