The slumbering high-stakes games at Full Tilt Poker awoke in a hurry, as Tom “durrrr” Dwan leads all players with almost a million dollars in profits of this week.
Ever since the start of the World Series of Poker in May, the action on the virtual felt at the highest levels has been pretty slow. Even with increased volume last week, there still wasn’t a whole lot of volatility. But Dwan found the good side of variance this week, posting a profit of $911,000 over the course of just under 20K hands.
Last week’s profit leader, harrington25 was third, with $438K over just 7,000 hands. And Phil Ivey bounced back with a solid week, with $344K in profit over about 2,600 hands.
Here are the top 10 for the week (click on any player for detailed information):
durrrr $911,148

A couple of big names topped the loss leaders for the week, as Gus Hansen dropped about $750K over the course of over 12,000 hands. Behind him was Ilari “ziigmund” Sahamies, who was down about $590K despite playing less than 2,500 hands for the week.

Martonas, who was a famed “mystery” player before Isildur1 came on the scene, made his return to the high-stakes tables after a hiatus. He was down about $100K for the week.
URnotINdanger2 drove the action for the week, with more than 23,000 hands played, followed by Dwan. Hansen, Urindanger and Niki Jedlicka (-$30K) were other players over 10,000 hands for the week.
There wasn’t a whole lot of movement in the yearly leaderboards, as Dwan padded his lead for all of 2010. He was almost up $4 million for the year, at $3,927,531. NEKOTYAN held steady at number two, while Phil Ivey moved up to No. 3 from No. 5 for 2010.
