The top of the food chain had a big week at Full Tilt’s high-stakes tables, as both Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey had nearly $1 million in profits.
Durrrrr and Ivey had their way their opponents on the virtual felt, as Dwan racked up $969K over the course of just over 7,000 hands. And Ivey logged similar profits, despite playing about half as many hands. He was up $930K for the week.
Volume was down week over week at Full Tilt’s cash games, but that didn’t stop what’s been a monster month for both players. Dwan is up almost $1.9 million for August, while Ivey is up about $1.5 million. The next closest player, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond, is just over $500K in profit for the month.
Galfond, who hasn’t been playing that much this summer, was back at it with more than $200K in profit. Cole South, who’s been having a pretty miserable run of late, checked in at No. 4. Jungleman12 and harrington25 continued grinding their way up the leaderboards with tidy profits this week. And Brandon Adams, a red pro who won an FTOPS event this week, made a cameo at No. 10.
Here are the top 10 players for the last week (click on any player for more information):
durrrr $969,145
Phil Ivey $931,555

Brandon Adams $120,144
The big surprise at the top of the loss leaderboards was Russian player NEKOTYAN, who has been No. 2 for 2010 with $2.5 million in profits. But in just the last week, over the course of just over 6K hands, he gave half of that back. His bad week results in $1.1 million in losses.
Right behind him was Gus Hansen, who had a bad week with over $700K in losses. It was his second bad week in a row — Hansen lost more than $700K the previous week, as well. Other notables with down weeks included LokoIsBack (fifth) and Patrik Antonius (eighth)

Dwan continued to have a stranglehold on the 2010 leaderboard, as he neared $5 million in profit for the year. On the back of his strong week, Ivey moved up to No. 2 and passed the $3 million mark.
NEKOTYAN took a big dive after his down week, falling from No. 2 down to No. 8. Everyone else in the top 10 held steady at their spots.

Not much change at the top of the loss leaderboard for the year, as the dormant Brian Townsend is still down $2.5 million. Gus Hansen’s bad week pushed him from break even for the year into the top 10 in losses at -$794K.
