Right now at Full Tilt Poker’s high-stakes tables, there’s Tom “durrrr” Dwan, and there’s everyone else.
Dwan crushed the competition over the last week, booking a net profit of more than $1.6 million over 11,545 tracked hands.
Second-closest? There really wasn’t anyone even in Dwan’s league. Three other players eclipsed $200,000 in winnings for the week — URnotINdanger2 ($286K), Patrik Antonius ($260K) and “UarePileou” $230K.
Dwan continues to have a huge start to 2010, as well. After playing 142,000 hands, he has logged profits of nearly $5.6 million. And once again, it’s a one-man show. No one else has even $2 million in profit this year, with “NEKOTYAN” ($1.98M), Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies ($1.94M) and Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn ($1.79M) all trailing Dwan.
Despite a postiive week, Antonius still leads all losers for the year at -$2.5M, just ahead of Brian Townsend ($-2.2M).
Isildur1 was once again not much of a factor at the tables. His volume was way down, at just 3,592 tracked hands. He lost just about $17K for the week. The mysterious Swede had been set to play in Party Poker’s Big Game IV, a 48-hour live cash game, but he backed out at the last minute. Isildur1, widely thought to be Viktor Blom, cited “personal reasons” for not making his appearance at the Big Game, and it’s possible those issues spilled over to the virtual felt.
For everyone else, it was also a week of low variance, as there were few big losses during the week. The biggest loser was Ashton “theASHMAN103″ Griffin at $495K while playing the most hands of anyone for the week, with more than 13,000. Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo gave back about $425K. Gus Hansen (-$226K) and Kostritsyn (-$225K) posted moderate losses.
Phil Ivey, who has not been grinding online much of late, lost about $50K in about 2,000 hands.
