Could cyberattacks be the reason for PokerStars’ recent lag and server issues? And Alex Jacob is three-for-three on Jeopardy. It’s all in our daily wrap-up of the world of poker, the Hit and Run.

Jeopardy champ x three

Alex Jacob, a former poker pro, has been taking the world of the game show Jeopardy by storm. He has dominated the show in his first three episodes. And he is a pretty awesome Twitter follow, too. Even for just the retweets he digs up.

He seems like he’s set to go on a big run, which would be fun to see. And he has already won $72,000. Could more poker players look to take game theory to Jeopardy? Also, you can follow along at twoplustwo.com.

PokerStars problems

Betfair reported a recent spate of distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks. Now, some are theorizing that this could be the cause of PokerStars’ recent problems. We’re not sure we’ll ever hear confirmation on that, but it’s fair to wonder.
