The Spring Championship of Online Poker will begin this weekend, with $40 million in guaranteed prize pools.
The schedule consists of 46 events and 138 total tournaments that will be contested from May 10 through May 24. As usual, SCOOP includes three different buy-in levels for each event — a high, medium and low version.
The highlight of the tournament series will be the two-day Main Event on May 24. There are three different buy-ins of $109, $1,050 and $10,300. The biggest buy-in tourney will generate a guaranteed prize pool of $4 million, with a million dollars going to the winner.
There will be a SCOOP All-in Shootout Deposit Raffle on May 22. Players depositing during the window from now through May 21 can receive entry into an All-in Shootout, where there will be 16 free SCOOP High Main Event entries (worth $10,300 each) up for grabs. There will also be 2,000 free entries to the SCOOP Low and Medium Main Events. More details here.
A leaderboard competition for SCOOP will award more than $75,000 in World Championship of Online Poker 2015 tournament tickets and $20,000 in cash. The overall winner will receive a 2016 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package.
Satellites to all events are running now for as little as 11 cents or one frequent player point.
Last year, more than $80 million in prize pools were generated during SCOOP.
