It was not a good day to be Joe Sebok, after he lost a prop bet at the L.A. Poker Classic’s $10,000 main event on Friday.
The UltimateBet pro made a “last longer” wager with two of his fellow pros, Gavin Smith and Jeff Madsen. The bet? Whoever went out first in the tournament would have to have the faces of the other two tattooed somewhere on his body.
As you might have already guessed, Sebok lost the bet, as he lost with pocket aces during the third blind level. Madsen, who was out second, must get Smith’s face tattooed on his person.
Sebok was understandably upset afterwards. His Twitter page is pretty much non-stop laughs, including these gems:
“May or may not have punched wall as I exited Commerce. Can neither confirm nor deny. Gg boys. Can’t wait to see who will join me in hell.
”
And later:
“omg, had the absolute worst dream that i lost some stupid ass prop bet where i had to get 2 dudes faces tattooed on my body ahahahahhaah!”
Some poker-related outlets have bene reporting that Smith may accept a buyout on the bet, although Sebok said on Twitter that he wouldn’t be paying to avoid the deed.
Here’s a video with the winner of the bet, Gavin Smith:
