Bodog has released the official schedule for the next installment of their popular Bodog Open tournament series. Bodog Open IV offers some of the familiar features players have come to expect from Bodog, along with some new twists that should be especially attractive to lower buy in players.
For BO IV, Bodog is taking a page from the Full Tilt Poker playbook and running a smaller buy in version of the main tournament series concurrently with the larger buy in events. The series are divided into ‘Contender Series’ (lower buy in) and ‘Championship Series’ (higher buy in). Contender tournaments have buy ins that are one-tenth of the corresponding Championship tournament. To further sweeten the pot, winners of events in the Contender series will receive $500 worth of tournament entries redeemable for Championship events on top of the normal payout for their win.
Bodog is adding over 60k to the prizepools of the Championship events.
