Overview
PokerListings is a pretty comprehensive online poker magazine. You’ll find a variety of poker content, including reviews, news stories, interviews and updates from major tournaments.

Look
I’m a fan of the design. It does a good job of packing in a lot of information without overwhelming you, and it has a good, clean navigation. It follows the now-popular blog aesthetic, which is a pretty good match for the content you’ll find inside. There are ads, but they are about as unobtrusive as you could ask for.

Content Quantity / Quality
This is obviously a professional site with a full-time staff behind it. Their WSOP coverage is very solid, as is most of their major tournament coverage. They have a good variety of reviews that are apparently unbiased, and they also offer a good list of online tools.

A chunk of the content seems to be designed mainly for search engines, but it’s still useful if you’re looking for rules or poker basics. The strategy section is a bit familiar topically, but still stands above 95% of the instructional content you’ll find online.

Their forum isn’t the most active online, but it seems like a nice community where you stand a good chance of getting a reasonable question to you answers about online poker.

In addition to the above, there’s a good amount of miscellaneous poker content on site. You could easily spend several hours paging through this site and still be left with plenty to read.

Unique Pros / Cons
A lack of flashy ads and clean navigation makes this a nice alternative to CardPlayer.

Bottom Line
A quality resource with an appealing design.
