Online Poker Explorer offers up-to-the-minute tournament schedules for a vast majority of online poker rooms, along with some strategy articles, room reviews and assorted snippets of poker-related content.
Look
Loads quick and clean, which is a must with these type of sites. The ads are wonderfully unobtrusive, and nothing blinks at you, which is refreshing. The main navigation and tournament sorting options are logical and well-placed. I’m especially happy that they provide multiple filter options on tournament results.
Content Quantity / Quality
The core content of this site is the tournament listing - and it’s pretty good. The major hole is the lack of Poker Stars tournaments, but just about all of the other major rooms are listed, along with some of the more popular minor rooms. The search filters (by date, game type, room, prize pool and buyin) are arranged very well and the load time, as mentioned above, is quick.
The remaining content doesn’t impress - the reviews are a bit too glowing and the strategy is thin - but that’s not what you’d come to the site for anyhow.
