Dwan is up. Eastgate hits and runs. Hellmuth’s late. And Ivey speaks. It’s all in today’s PTPN Hit and Run.

Durrrr’s swingy 2009 has continued in October. Right now Tom Dwan is up more than a million for the month playing high stakes at Full Tilt, according to the guys over at poker-king.com. That puts him slightly into profit for the year.

Apparently, even World Series of Poker main event champions will hit and run online. This was caught at PokerStars, where last year’s champ, Peter Eastgate, joined a $200/$400 no-limit table, shortstacked at $8K, doubled up, and left.

Phil Hellmuth made a late entrance to the World Poker Tour’s Festa al Lago main event at the Bellagio, coming in during level 7. That itself isn’t really news, but CardPlayer did catch him on his way into the tournament. Mark Seif and Dutch Boyd are second and third in chips, by the way.

There’s a behind-the-scenes video posted of Phil Ivey’s piece on ESPN’s “E:60.” Thanks to the Wicked Chops Poker guys for digging this one up. You can watch the episode on Nov. 3.

UltimateBet is apparently attempting to make inroads in the European market, launching ultimatebet.de. UltimateBet will be hosting a series of live events in Germany and the Czech Republic, and the site will be the portal for information about those events. The first event is Saturday in Cologne, Germany.

Full Tilt had a good day in the courtroom, winning a couple of judgments. In one, a United Kingdom court said Kentucky couldn’t seize Full Tilt’s internet domain. And in less complicated news, Clonie Gowen’s $40M lawsuit against FTP was denied.

Apparently, if you live on Prince Edward Island in Canada, you’re not going to be able to play poker at the bars anymore. The Atlantic Lottery Corporation there has banned the practice.

Luckily, if you’re in PEI or elsewhere, you can still play at Full Tilt Poker. And if you haven’t signed up there yet, make sure to get rakeback. Follow this link to learn how.
