The latest offering in poker cinema is apparently on its way. “Life on Tilt: Confessions of a Poker Dad,” is apparently being made into a movie, with the help of poker player/actress Shannon Elizabeth. Filming appears to be on tap for next year.
A two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, Hans “Tuna” Lund, died of cancer today at the age of 59. He won his bracelets 18 years apart (1978 and 1996). He won more than $3M in live tournaments before the poker boom of the 2000s. He finished second and third in the main event.

Part II of the Daniel Negreanu-Patrik Antonius high-stakes golf match took place yesterday, with Negreanu’s team taking the victory. Check out the video below. Apparently there was a little bit of yelling after the conclusion by members of Antonius’ team.
Doyle Brunson’s autobiography is due out next week, with a release date of Nov. 11. The book is 372 pages and retails for $26.95.
Some news out of Pennsylvania, which has been attempting to legalize poker and table games. The bill is designed to create revenue for the state, but is is still in limbo, even though the state budget was passed with those revenues included. If the table games bill is not passed, money earmarked for state universities will likely be made up for in tuition increases. Sounds like a mess.
Even police officers aren’t above the law in Georgia. Police caught one of their own in an illegal poker game sting.
