FTOPS has an overlay already, the UFC goes for a knockout on Poker After Dark, and everyone’s betting on Ivey. Submit the next few minutes to reading today’s PTPN Hit and Run.

Full Tilt’s FTOPS XIV tournament series kicked off on Wednesday, and the first event did not hit its guarantee. Some recent FTOPS have had similar problems, we’ll keep tabs on the situation to let you know if overlays are going to be common this time around.

NBC’s Poker After Dark is filming a “mixed martial arts” themed episode this week. Details here. Poker pros Howard Lederer, Patrik Antonius and Erik Lindgren join Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters Randy Couture and Dan Henderson, along with announcer Bruce Buffer (who is a fixture at Full Tilt Poker).

Phil Ivey is now the third favorite to win the main event of the World Series of Poker, as the final table of the event draws closer. Check out the odds at bodog.com. Darvin Moon is the favorite at 2:1, which Eric Buchman is second in the odds (3:1). Ivey is currently at 7:2, even though he comes in to the final table with one of the smaller stacks. In news about November Niners not named Ivey, here’s a newspaper feature on 21-year-old Joseph Cada. And Phil Hellmuth will be around the final table to cheer on his student, Jeff Shulman. While in Vegas, he’ll be signing his new book “Deal Me In.” The book is a collection of autobiographical accounts from some of poker’s biggest names. If you like watching Vanessa Rousso, you’ll apparently get a chance to see her on a new reality series. She’s slated to appear on Ryan Seacrest’s new show on E! called “Bank Of Hollywood,” where people try to pitch proposals to a panel of rich/famous people to help bankroll their venture. Rousso is one of the judges.

Drinking and betting on hockey never go well together. Ilari ‘Ziigmund’ Sahamies found out the hard way, as his team lost in a prop bet. And he had to get a tattoo for losing the wager.
