Dwan’s live challenge, a new UB and Cada on CNN in today’s edition of the PTP News HNR, our daily survey of happenings in the pokerverse.

Gus Hansen’s been in the new lately for his massive downswings online, but a recent blog post by the Great Dane is making news for a different reason: wacky prop bets. In one, Hansen relates winning a bet versus Ivey that will force the FTP pro to stay meat-free for a year; in another, Hansen discuss a possible bet that will have him stay celibate for the same amount of time. Translation on 2+2 here.

WSOP 2009 is barely in the books, but that doesn’t mean plans for 2010 aren’t already well underway. In an interview with the LVS, WSOP honcho Seth Palansky outlined some of the changes in store for ‘10, including more cheap buy ins and no play on the Fourth of July.

There will also apparently be no replacement for Pollack, says Palansky: “There’s no plans to replace the commissioner role, nor do we feel that there’s a void there. We feel that the brand has grown and the staff that has been here throughout is here and ready.”

WSOP-related: Champ Joe Cada appeared on CNN yesterday, video below:

Pokerati’s reporting that Mike Sexton, the sole inductee to the Poker Hall of Fame this year, will be getting a new gig. Sexton is reportedly signed on as host of Shuffle Up and Deal, a poker-themed game show set for a 2010 debut.

Speaking of new gigs, Poker News has an interview with Sebok and Huff about their new show on Fox Sports that comes as part of the larger relaunch of UB.

Finally, Dwan fans have some new action to follow, as the cash game phenom takes on new challengers as part of the finally-launched and now running live version of the durrrr challenge.
