A long weekend for some and an even longer one for others: we’ve got Pollack, Isildur1, a Survivor who’s off the island and more in today’s edition of the PTP News HNR.

PokerStars always seems to be setting some record or another, which we suppose isn’t that tough when you’re the world’s largest online poker room and poker keeps (globally, at least) growing. The latest bow in their record-breaking quiver: this weekend’s Sunday Million marked both the largest field and prize pool for a $215 edition of the event. 18,283 players battled it out for a 3.65m prize pool.

Those left standing (numbers reflect a six-way chop):

Nice wins, but chicken feed for one mystery man tearing up the high stakes online games: the as-yet-unmasked “Isildur1″, who has taken a reported 6m+ off the nosebleed tables so far this November. His primary victims: Tom Dwan is apparently five million lighter after their clashes, and Patrik Antonius is out about a million. That might be enough to put the durrrr challenge on hold for a bit.

Speaking of the durrrr challenge, Dwan confirmed in his blog that the live version of the challenge is happening, will be in London, and is now a FTP affair: “I wanna talk about poker slightly more in at least some of my future entries, and will probably have one about my upcoming heads-up show in London. It’s the FullTilt Poker Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge, starting November 17th in London’s Les Ambassedeurs casino. I’ll post more about that later.”

Most know by now the Jeffery Pollack is out as WSOP commish; Gary Wise has a great ESPN piece about why that might be the case and how it might impact poker. Raw Vegas also has an interview with Pollack, one part of which is embedded below:

Also out: Jean-Robert Bellande is no longer in the employ of Bodog, which doesn’t come as a surprise to many – with their limited roster, it’s a bit of a surprise he hung around as long as he did. No official word on what specifically led to the dissolution.

Finally, lobbying group Poker Voters of America presented the Florida legislature with some interesting food for thought this week when it handed off a report estimating that the state could pull in over 90m a year in new revenue by legalizing online poker.
