Datamining debates, PokerTracker updates and the player of the decade – that and more in today’s survey of all things interesting in the pokerverse, the PTP HNR for December 28th, 2009.
The debate over the Cardrunners gang-up on Isildur1 continues, and has developed into a larger discussion regarding the role of datamining in online poker and the associated ethical issues. Bill Rini breaks down the situation from his point of view in a blog post here; PokerNews got varying opinions on the severity of the issue from such notable names as Krantz, Brandon Adams and Ryan Fisler.
Danial Negreanu has a sick brag thinly disguised as a goals for 2010 list in this blog post.
PokerStars set another world record for the largest online tournament this weekend, getting 149,196 players to show up – a slight increase over the previous record of 65,000. In other PS news, the schedule for the 2010 Australia New Zealand Poker Tour was released today.
BBOY3110 took 2nd in the Sunday Million and cashed for $213,443.78 – about 70k better than the $143,444.13 pocketed by coach6999, who won the tournament. That’s thanks to a 5-way deal made when BB had a massive chip lead. Recap here.
Latest episode of Poker2Nite:

Here’s a hint – he plays on Full Tilt Poker. Play with him (ok, in the same room), but be sure to read this before signing up for an account at Full Tilt Poker.
