APPT news, a Las Vegas landmark closes and and Bloom denies the Isildur1 connection. That and more as we launch into the first December edition of our daily survey of the pokerverse with today’s PTP News Hit and Run.

-$626,703. That’s Isildur’s loss total since his amazing run began in October. Learn more about that run with a nice Isildur1 to-date summary here. Speculation continues as to the true identity of the nosebleed Swede, but the one person that the rumors have focused squarely on – Viktor Blom – told Bluff Europe that the gossip’s got it wrong: “I am not the one you are looking for. Keep searching”, said Blom.

In other online poker news involving disgusting numbers, Russian online poker player innerpsy recently set the new record for total number of online poker hands played in a 24 hours period. That number? 40,088. His results: not disclosed, but he did reveal that he ran 30 buy ins under expectation for the session, so that should give you an idea.

Full Tilt Poker is hosting a Justin Shronk memorial poker tournament this Sunday. Pokerati’s got the details of the $5 buy in tournament that will send half that buy in to the Justin Shronk Memorial Fund at the Temple University School of Communications And Theater.

File under ‘companies that used to be super-relevant to US poker players but aren’t really anymore’: Binion’s announced that they’re closing their downtown hotel (the casino will stay open, says Wicked Chops). Party Poker took home the Poker Operator of the Year Award at the EGR awards.

APPT Sydney is underway. Get chip counts, blogs, photos and more at the PS Blog here. Speaking of PokerStars, they’re apparently purchased a mobile gaming software development firm, a move that suggests they’ll likely follow Cake Poker into the mobile poker market sooner than later. Details here.

Speaking of speaking of PokerStars, here’s their Sunday million final table highlight show. See how the action went down with all the hands exposed and all the boring bits cut out:

Can’t play the Sunday Million? Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt Poker have massive tournament schedules, plus they offer rakeback. Learn more about what rakeback is and how it works here.
