After a temporary setback, the case of 141 online gambling and poker sites who don’t want their domains seized by the Commonwealth of Kentucky will continue. Read more about the latest developments here.
The Poker Players Alliance has resigned itself to the fact that the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act will go into effect on June 1st (unless new legislation is passed). In the meantime, the PPA is attempting to refine the rules of the UIGEA, particularly what defines “unlawful Internet gambling.” Read more here. The PPA is hoping to make a distinction between poker and other forms of gambling, so that online poker is not subject to the law.
