Daniel Negreanu calls Annie Duke a bad word, and PokerStars responds to the Chinese collusion case. It’s all in today’s PTP Hit and Run.

Negreanu’s potty mouth: PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu had some choice words about Annie Duke in an interview for Poker Player.co.uk, which you can read here. The two had a spat during the WSOP over the idea of men playing in the women’s tournament. Anyway, here’s an excerpt from the interview that has people talking: “What irked me is that this woman has the audacity on her website to call herself ‘the best female poker player in the world’. So on one side of the coin she’s fighting for, ‘Oh, we’re all equal, there shouldn’t be any gender thing,’ but when appropriate she decides to call herself the best female poker player in the world. So I’m like ‘how offensive are you, you f***ing c***? You want to say you’re speaking for women, yet you claim superiority over all of them.’ ” Yikes.

New info on Chinese collusion at PokerStars: Back in May a story broke at 2+2 about the existence of a collusion ring out of China (read our original story from May here, if you missed it or forget the details). Flash forward to today, as PokerStars responded to some questions from pokernews.com. PS support has detailed that it closed 38 accounts in the case, and that more than $2.1 million has been paid out in compensation to those players affected by the collusion. The story also talks about PokerStars’ efforts to stop collusion moving forward.

More Jean-Robert: Jean-Robert Bellande has been making the media rounds of late after his deep run in the WSOP main event. He’s featured in the week’s edition of the Scoop at Card Player TV:

November Niner still playing: If you’re at the final table of the World Series of Poker main event, and it doesn’t resume until November, what do you? Play more poker, obviously. John Racener is at Full Tilt’s Merit Cyprus Classic, and you can catch an interview with him below:

Victory + Cake = ?: Victory Poker is apparently considering a move to the Cake Poker network, according to a story here. The relatively new poker site is currently on the Everleaf network and has Antonio Esfandiari among its stable of sponsored pros. We can apparently look for an announcement on Sept. 1. Cake is looking to get some of its player base back after the defection of some rooms earlier this year.

Berlin heist: The alleged masterminds of the robbery earlier this year of the European Poker Tour stop in Berlin are on trial. Read more here. In what appears to be a very slow blind structure, the case is expected to last to November. We’ll keep you posted.
