Liv Boeree takes down an EPT event. Odonkor1>Isildur1? And the next Durrrr Challenge? Check out all happenings in poker in today’s PTP Hit and Run.

This new mysterious Swedish player may have some staying power. Odonkor1, filling in the void that Isildur1 has left at the Full Tilt Poker high-stakes tables, had won close to a million in a 72-hour stretch. Read more about what’s going on in the high-stakes world here. And Tom Dwan was up to his old tricks, taking $1.2 million from Ilari Sahamies last night on the virtual felt. Read about that action here. Dwan did take a chunk Odonkor1 before he was done, too.

The first “Durrrrr Challenge,” in which Dwan has taken on Patrik Antonius to see would come out the winner over 50,000 hands, has taken forever. Dwan has a commanding lead, and most people don’t care any more. But Dwan has already picked out his next opponent, once his “battle” with Antonius ends in about 2014. Apparently Brian Townsend, who is having the worst year of anyone at Full Tilt’s table, will step up to the plate. More here.

In good news for the European Poker Tour, the hottest person left won the tournament in San Remo. Liv Boeree took down the first prize of about 1.2 million Euros, beating a lot of European men we don’t care about. Here’s the lowdown from PokerStars’ blog. Clip of the winning hand here:

The World Poker Tour Championship is in to day 4, and there are 35 players left in the $25,000 tournament. Read an update here. Shawn Buchanan is the chip leader. The bottom three of the top 10 are formidable, with Phil Hellmuth, David Williams and David Benyamine in eighth ninth, and 10th. Other notables still alive include Carlos Mortensen, Scotty Nguyen and Josh Arieh. Also alive is an unknown in the poker world, Heather Sue Mercer. Interview with her below. She’s most famous for walking on to the Duke football team in the 1990s as a kicker. Read more about her here.

And just in case you haven’t gotten your fill of poker news about women, the Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) announced the first-ever U. S. Ladies Poker Championship, slated for September 4-5 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Read more about it here.
