Negreanu vs. online regular in a cage match? And big names have big stacks at the WPT Championship.

Matt “ADZ124″ Marafioti and Daniel Negreanu in a cage fight? Probably not. Although Marafioti would like to see it happen for real, as he’s been trying to bait Negreanu ever since the PokerStars pro has been trying to beat the high-stakes cash games at PS. Marafioti is pretty convinced he can thrash Negreanu, so he’s putting up some props to try to make it happen. Here’s what Negreanu had to say about the baiting: “If I wasted my time responding to all the completely insane nutjobs on the Internet, I wouldn’t have enough hours in the day,” Negreanu said with a smile at the WPT Championship in Las Vegas Sunday. He falls directly into that category of social misfit.”

Through Day 1 at the World Poker Tour Championship, a $25,000 buy-in event, there are some big names at the top of the chip counts (not shockingly). Preview of this week on Poker After Dark here – it’s going to be Phil Hellmuth and Chris Ferguson against four people who qualified to be on the show. We’re going to go out on a limb and guess Hellmuth bereates some of them before the week is over.
