On Tuesday, PokerStars give us a hint of what was in store for the 2015 World Championship of Online Poker when they announced $10 million in guaranteed prizes would be awarded for the two day event.

What we hadn’t yet heard was plans for the rest of the schedule. PokerStars gave players some clarity today with an unveiling of a tentative schedule for online poker’s biggest tournament series.

Beginning on September 6th, the WCOOP will comprise nearly 70 events over three weeks, enough to tide over the dedicated multi-table tournament player this fall. +

Sure, with the World Series of Poker in full swing, it might feel a bit too early to start breaking about PokerStars’ World Championship of Online Poker. But there will be life after the WSOP, so why not start thinking about it now.

Plus, PokerStars is giving players a good reason to think about this year’s WCOOP now.

Why a “Tentative” Schedule?

PokerStars is an online poker room that historically values player input and knows the best way to keep players happy is through a hands-on relationship with them. With the release of a non-finalized version of the WCOOP, they are openly soliciting feedback from players on their take on WCCOP schedule, which is one reason they are releasing the details some three months before the action gets underway. They want to hear from you – whether you love the new schedule or you think it sucks.

So, if you care about the WCOOP, let PokerStars know whether they are on the right track or if they missed the mark on the events that matter to you. They can be reached at wcoop@pokerstars.com. Make sure to add @PokerStarsBlog to your feed to keep up with the latest WCOOP information directly from the source. We will be sure to keep you updated here at PTP as well.
