Apparently, online poker sites believe in the season of giving. Several have recently introduced programs to benefit their players this December.
PartyPoker launched its “Full House” promotion for the month of December. Included in the promotion:
– A $50,000 Cash Game Race, if you qualify as a Bronze, Silver or Gold frequent player.
–In Jackpot Hunter, $160,000 will be given away to people who can win five single-table tournaments in a row.
–There will be MTTs running Monday-Saturday for 20 PartyPoints, where $5,000 is up for grabs. The top players in the $5,000 tourneys will be entered in the $250,000 Grand Final in January. And if you can win two or three MTTs in a day, you could be in line for part of a $1 million jackpot.
Cake Poker is launching its “Gold Stacks” program on Dec. 9. At Cake, players already earn “gold chips” for frequent play. Now, the gold chips can be built into gold stacks, and each stack that is completed earns a player instant rewards, like bonuses and straight cash. There are going to be 50 levels of gold stacks, with a varying number of chips required to completed a stack. The more stacks you build, the better the rewards.
Absolute Poker and UB.com have introduced a double-points program, similar to Full Tilt Poker’s “Happy Hours.” Players can earn twice the usual number of points by playing during special times of the day, called “Power Hours.” The time blocks are actually three hours long. Playing from 1-4 a.m. and 1-4 p.m., Eastern time, Monday-Sunday, will earn double points at select games. On Sunday, the afternoon time block is 1-5 p.m. Points earned at both sites can be used to buy merchandise or entry into tournaments.
