Tournament Monitor does what the name suggests - it complies and provides fairly complete and accurate lists of what online poker tournaments are coming up. The site provides the basic details for a tournament, including the description, the game, the limit, the time, the buy in, the prize [if fixed] and the time until start. It also offers some room reviews, poker links, and bonus info.

Look
Clean if not a bit choppy. The balance of the page is a bit off, and the color scheme is so-so. That said, it does pack a decent amount of info into a small space without sacrificing much, so it make up in function what it might lack in form. There are some ads, but they are a pretty minor component of the page. The navigation makes sense.

Content Quantity / Quality
The tournament listings seem a little hit or miss. Some rooms seem to get great coverage, while listings for major rooms like Party are seriously incomplete. Some rooms are missing altogether. The freeroll listings should provide a newer player with a great learning schedule, and the guaranteed prize pool listing is an excellent resource for overlay-hunters. The gaps in coverage at the major sites throw the comprehensiveness of the list into question, but at least a random sample check indicates the tournaments that are listed are done so accurately.

The room reviews are short but pretty accurate.

Unique Pros / Cons
None worth mentioning.

Bottom Line
A nice resource that can help you fill out your tournament slate for the day, week and beyond - just don’t’ forget that there will be some gaps you’ll have to fill in yourself.
