Overview
High Stakes Report is an idea so simple I’m shocked I haven’t seen it before - a blog that does generalized coverage of the biggest games running on Full Tilt. You get session overviews, interesting hands with screen shots and HH’s, and some snippets of the chat between players.
Look
Nice job here, a typical blog setup with clean lines and a minimum of ads. Navigation is intuitive, and there’s very little to get in between you and the content. Thumbs up.
Content Quantity / Quality
With a thesis this clear, execution shouldn’t be a problem, and it isn’t. You get to-the-point, info-laden write ups of the biggest games running online - games that regularly feature Phil Ivey, Matusow, and a host of other Full Tilt pros. There’s no editorializing or over-analysis of the play, just a nice, clean report of what went on, who won what, and what the big hands of the night were. It’s a great way to get a quick peek into a part of the poker world most of us will never visit.
Unique Pros / Cons
Easy additions to your feed service of choice. Lots of screen shots to break up the posts. Regularly updated.
Bottom Line
If you have any voyeuristic tendencies, this is a great way to get your fix. Grab the feed or visit often to check in on the world of nosebleed-stakes poker.
