Sontheimer Leads Poker Masters Jacket Race After Four Events

The 5th and final Poker Masters event, a $100,000 is begins today after Brandon Adams took down event #4 yesterday. Event #5 will run through Wednesday.

Going into the final, Steffen Sontheimer holds the Purple Jacket lead with Bryn Kenny, Nick Schulman, Brandon Adams and Doug Polk filling out the top five. The Purple Jacket will go to the player who earns the most money over the five events of the Poker Masters.

At least one Poker Masters participant predicted Sontheimer’s rise:

Meanwhile, Daniel Negreanu has an uphill battle with his Poker Masters jacket prop bet. Before the Poker who bet 20 different players he would take down the Poker Masters jacket. Through four events, Negreanu has achieved a single 8th place cash for $102,000 in Event #1 and would likely need a 1st or 2nd place finish (which is the case for most contenders) in the $100,000.
