Taylor Caby is one of the most well-known and successful cash game players in the poker world. In 2003, after years of casual play, he deposited $35 to an online poker site with the goal of turning it into $20,000 when he graduate college a few years later. He accomplished this goal and much more.

Caby’s parents didn’t permit him to play poker until high school, but when they finally allowed it they gave him their full support. They even bought him books on poker to help him get started. He continued to study the game by checking out books on poker from the local library and reading all he could about it. By the time he reached college and deposited on Ultimate Bet, he was far better than the average online player. In less than two years, Caby ran his $35 into a six-figure bankroll that was adequate to play games with a $20,000 buy-in.

Caby’s interests stretch beyond poker, and he has always strived to ensure he has career avenues outside of poker. His education as a finance student drives this, and he has worked in the business world with success as well. Outside of his cash game dominance, he is best known as the co-founder of the online training site “Cardunners,” which focused heavily on cash game play from its inception but has branched out to include SNG play and MTT play with some of the biggest names in the game. Cardrunners currently has a partnership with Full Tilt Poker and Taylor Caby can be found hitting their tables as a “red pro.”
