Poker pro Daniel Negreanu blasted Full Tilt Poker’s Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Ray Bitar in a video posted on YouTube.
The PokerStars pro lit into the three men, who are co-owners of Full Tilt’s parent company and are considered the public faces of Full Tilt, in his video blog. All three have been silent during the problems that the online poker site has encountered, including the revelation that the company was insolvent and could not pay millions of dollars owed to Full Tilt players.
Skip to the 5:55 mark to hear Negreanu’s comments in full below:
In the video, Negreanu begins his rant about Full Tilt Poker: “In a recent blog, I made some comments about Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Ray Bitar, mentioning that something to the effect of old-school Vegas-style baseball bats to the groin for what they’ve done. And you know, I’ve come to realize those comments are pretty harsh, and I’ve had some time to think about what I’d said, and yeah, I think they were absolutely appropriate.”
Later, Negreanu gets more animated: “I waited a long time, I really didn’t say anything for months, hoping you guys could rectify the situation, but you are scumbags, absolute flat-out scumbags, for ignoring the poker world that you fleeced for as much money as you did, and now you have nothing to say? Are you freaking serious?”
Full Tilt was one of the online poker sites whose domains were seized in April of last year by the United States government. Its gaming license was then suspended in June of last year by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, and the license was revoked in September. It was later revealed that Full Tilt did not have the money to pay the millions of dollars that belonged to players from around the world. Full Tilt is currently in the process of being sold to Groupe Bernard Tapie.
