The Jamie Gold Poker Room, named after the 2006 World Series of Poker main event champ, is holding its grand opening this weekend at the Tropicana in Las Vegas.
While the remodeled poker room at the Trop has already been open for business, there are special events this weekend to celebrate the grand opening. Those events start with a “celebrity red carpet” at RPM Nightclub on Friday night.
The first-ever deep-stack tournament at the poker room will take place on Saturday at noon, with a $500 buy-in and an optional $500 rebuy and add-on. The tournament is limited to 75 players.
On Sunday, there will be a $300 tournament at noon, with a $300 buy-in and an optional $300 rebuy and add-on. That tournament is also limited to 75 players.
