Do Full Tilt pros owe millions to Full Tilt Poker? Phil Ivey is ranked again. And rake changes at PokerStars. It’s all in today’s edition of the PTP Hit and Run.
Full Tilt pros owe millions?: According to a report out today, the sale of Full Tilt Poker to Groupe Bernard Tapie is being held up because some Full Tilt pros owe millions of dollars to the parent company. Phil Ivey, David Benyamine, Erick Lindgren, Mike Matusow and Barry Greenstein are among the players noted in the report. Details here. And we’re not talking chump change. We’re talking millions. However, the report does not paint the owed money as a non-starter for the sale. So, just another day of drama in the Full Tilt saga.
Rake changes at PokerStars: After meeting with a panel of players, PokerStars rolled out some changes to its rake structure that will mean a 3% reduction across the board. Get all the details here.
EPT: The European Poker Tour’s Deauville stop is in day 2. You can get live updates at PokerStars’ blog here. James “Flushy” Dempsey and Shannon Shorr are among the players who are still alive.
More with Shorr:
And maybe we are out of the loop, but how long have Kevin MacPhee and Liv Boeree been a couple?
Breaking down the rankings: Who is ranked what in the world of poker these days? Did Phil Ivey return to the rankings? Is Jason Mercier still the best player in the world? Find out the answers to these questions and more in our roundup of the world of poker rankings.
