Kevin Hart Poker Player? Comedian Enters SHR $100k

Comedian Kevin Hart is among 39 poker players who have registered to play in the $100k PokerStars Championship Bahamas Super High Roller during Day 1. Play is underway with Steve O’Dwyer taking an early lead with 625,000 in chips. Hart is towards the bottom of the pack with 175,000 in chips as of 7 PM ET Friday night.

Apparently a high stakes players for years, Hart has also been seen playing in poker rooms in California. Although dubbed the Super High Roller, the $100,000 buy-in is likely a drop in the bucket for Hart, who has an estimated net worth of over $60 million. At one point early in the tournament, Hart even joked that he was playing “penny poker.” Hart also reportedly jokingly called the floor as an opponent stabbed a fork into a watermelon. Apparently Hart is in top form, despite a slow start in the tournament.

Dan Colman, Jason Mercier and Negreanu are among the players that have also entered thus far. Some poker fans couldn’t help but managing the table talk that could ensue with the likes of players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth — or William Kassouf?
