Dara O’Kearney runner up at UKIPT Super Series. PocketFives.com expands its content team. Ben Tollerene and Doug Polk thread going strong at 2+2. And more.

Day three of the Polk/Tollerene Feud

Three days in, the Doug Polk vs. Ben Tollerene thread at 2+2 has reached 37 pages, and spawned a multi-page sub-thread about the PLO Dream Machine software that may or may not exist, as well as a dedicated photoshop thread for those looking for less drama and more lulz – SPOILER ALERT: There is a horseback riding motif that will only be understood if you read the original thread.

the principles may have stopped posting, but that hasn’t prevented the 2+2 community form speculating on anything and everything, or picking apart the 30+ minute video Doug Polk made, or parsing every word written by Tollerene and Polk in the thread.

Basically, don’t put the popcorn away just yet.

One of my first columns for P5’s was posted today. It talks about PokerStars’ newly rebranded festivals potential impact on legislative efforts in the US.

– Part 2 of my two-part series on poker writing has now been published at Part Time Poker, and this time around I look at the positive attributes writers should possess – in my opinion of course.  If you missed Part 1, where I discussed what I believe to be the sins of poker writers, you can read that here.

– For those of you who can’t get enough of this story, you can read more about Phil Galfond’s announcement of a new online poker site, from Part Time poker’s own David Huber.

– Dara O’Kearney finished second to Norwegian Stian Knutson at the latest PokerStars UKIPT stop. You may recall O’Kearney has been highly critical of PokerStars tournaments, but it apparently hasn’t had a negative effect on his game.
