Hit and Run: Huge DFS Overlays; Pennsylvania Still in Play for iGaming; WCOOP Betting Odds
Huge overlays for Tuesday’s DFS baseball contests
DraftKings and FanDuel took a bath on Tuesday night as the two site’s had to kick in some $1.4 million in overlays for their MLB GPP’s.
The two DFS sites were hoping they could capture some of the energy from the NFL players by offering some aggressive guarantees (five times what they normally offer) on their baseball contests. Instead the two sites were scrambling at the last minute to do some damage control with social media outreach and targeted emails. As All-In Magazine notes, it didn’t work.
Bet on the WCOOP Super-High-Roller
It’s ok if you don’t have deep enough pockets to play in PokerStars $51,000 buy-in WCOOP event; few of us do. Fortunately, PokerStars has you covered as they are offering betting odds on the outcome of the tournament.
Unsurprisingly, the odds on favorites to win are Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, and online tournament legend Chris Moorman, all coming in at 13-1.
However, as we noted earlier today, the odds aren’t all that great for a number of players, including the three mentioned above.
– Don’t count out Pennsylvania just yet; this according to the architect of the state’s online gaming bill in the House of Representatives, John Payne.
– Part Time Poker’s Alex Weldon’s look at the careers of the 10 finalists for the 2015 Poker Hall of Fame continues with one of the odds on favorites for induction, John Juanda.
– For anyone who thinks the game has passed by some of the pre-boom players, I’d like to introduce you to Thor Hansen. Hansen, 68 years young, and a former Poker Hall of Fame finalist, managed to make two PokerStars WCOOP final tables on the same day.
– After turning on a former ally, Vanessa Rousso is now in the final three of Big Brother 17, and it’s starting to look like the poker pro has what it takes to take home the title.
