High Stakes Report: June Is Another Big Month for “durrrr”

RELATED ARTICLES
While action in high-stakes online poker slowed a bit as some of the big names were busy with the World Series of Poker, nothing could stop Tom “durrrr” Dwan from turning in another impressive month at Full Tilt Poker.
Dwan posted a profit of $2.2 million during the month, playing just under 12,000 hands in pot-limit Omaha. He also took a huge lead in the “durrrr” Challenge against Patrik Antonius — he is now in front of Antonius by more than $700,000 as the two players near the halfway point in the 50,000 prop bet.
After a very bad start to the year, Dwan is now up about $1.5M for the year (he’s still down playing PLO, but is working well into the black in mixed hold’em and Omaha).
Even though Dwan got the best of Patrik Antonius in June, Antonius miraculously managed to just about break even. He was down $1.1M playing Omaha, but he was up more than $1.3M playing mixed HA to save him from a wretched month.
No one came close to Dwan’s level of success in June. Di “urindanger” Dang was up more than $600K for his month, thanks mostly to clearing a half a million in Omaha. He was actually the second-most profitable Omaha player for the month, but was still $1.7M behind Dwan.
“DIN_FRU,” who is believed to be Erik “erik123″ Sagstrom, also posted a nice month of $430K in profit. And Phil Ivey was busy winning a couple of bracelets in Vegas, he still cleared half a million playing high-stakes games on FTP.
David Benyamine “Mr B 2 U Son” was another of the regulars who was often wrapped up in the WSOP, but he still managed to book 350K of profit in June.
It was a brutal month for some players, including Gus Hansen, who didn’t earn a big score at the WSOP and was also down about $1.3M on FTP playing cash games. “Bomberman” also booked losses of nearly $1M for the month.
