Tom “durrrr” Dwan is used to sick swings up and down playing the highest stakes in online poker. In May, he got one of those huge upswings. Dwan was up nearly $1.5 million playing pot-limit Omaha last month on Full Tilt Poker. Add to that a more than $750K playing mixed hold’em and a modest loss of about $100K playing no-limit hold’em, and he was up more than $2.1M in May.

Not bad for a month’s work.

Beyond durrrr, there weren’t many big winners for the month. Ilari “ziigmund” Sahamies had a pretty good month, going +$630K in PLO and +$200K in mixed HA against -$130K limit Omaha hi/lo, for a net profit of about $700K. David Benyamine (MR B 2 U SON) had the second-best month among all players in PLO, banking more than $760K. Balanced against small losses in other games, his profit shrunk to about $550K for the month.

Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond was up $$40K in the month playing under 1,500 hands of PLO, and just 16 sessions.

There were a few players who took big losses in May. Gus Hansen was down $1.6M playing PLO for the month, with some small gains and losses in other games. Sami “LarsLuzak” Kelopuro had a rough month as well, down nearly $1.3M playing mixed HA and PLO. With a profit of $170K playing NLHE, he cut his losses closer to a million dollars for the month.

Phil Ivey turned in a poor month in PLO, as well, going down $1.3M for the month. However, he had small gains in other high-stakes games, taking his net loss for the month down to $925K.
