April was a good month to be Patrik Antonius. It didn’t matter what game Antonius played in April on Full Tilt Poker — he came out ahead in all of them.
Antonius was up more than $2.1 million for the month playing high-stakes cash games at FTP. He did most of his damage playing mixed HA (hold’em and omaha), banking nearly $1.5K in that game. He also made $360K playing pot-limit omaha and $282K in fixed-limit omaha hi-lo. He turned a small profit of $40K playing HORSE.
Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies also had a big month, with more than $1.5 million in profit. Playing mostly mixed HA, he won $1.4M in that game, but did it in about half the hands that it took Antonius (4,994 vs. 10,167). He also won $110K playing PLO.
Di “urindanger” Dang turned more than $1M in profit as well, with $980K profit in PLO and $120K in mixed HA. Phil Ivey also had a pretty good month, banking more than $1M playing PL), and another $100K in Mixed HA. He gave back about $350K playing HORSE and FL Omaha hi/lo.
Rounding out the list of the largest winners: luckexpress10 with about 350k, Bomberman with just over 300k and David Benefield, who snuck 150k off of the tables in just 305 hands over 4 sessions.
On the other side of the won / loss coin, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond saw his bankroll dip by some $1.6 million. It was only Galfond’s loss that stopped Lars Luzak from holding the unenviable title of biggest loser for April with his 884k downswing.
Tom “durrrr” Dwan, who is still playing Patrik Antonius in the durrrr Challenge, was the biggest loser in PLO last month, losing more than $1.2M. However, he offset that with more than $600K in winnings in mixed HA.
Gus Hansen would have had a good month, had he stayed away from the mixed HA game. He was up more then $1M in other high-stakes games, but he tossed away $1.5M in HA.
Rounding out the top 10 losses for April: MR B 2 U SON, lighter by nearly 700k; HarrisMP down about 550k, papa ninja with a 500k+ hit to the bankroll and Juggle This who (ahem) dropped a bit over 400k.
