It’s possibly only temporary, but action junkies can now get a bigger quick fix with Full Tilt’s Rush Poker.

Full Tilt rolled out an intriguing upgrade to Rush Poker this week. Much of the lobby remains the same – the Pot Limit Omaha games are untouched, with .50/1 remaining the highest limit available. The big change is at the top of the lobby – a new $2/$4 NL game (full ring only), which doubles the stakes of the previous highest offering.
FTP says the move is an experiment – in fact, in the lobby for the game, the description reads – “This is an experiment and will likely self-destruct at the end of the month.” Whether or not the game continues to be offered beyond August is anyone’s guess, but most rooms have hard a hard time removing higher limits once they’ve offered them.
The game doesn’t seem to be a smash success – on average, it seems to attract a little over half the player pool that the same full ring game at $1/$2 attracts. No doubt FTP decided to offer full ring only as a way of preventing bankrolls from also self-destructing by the end of the month (or sooner).
