Carbon Poker Review
Carbon Poker is the flagship room of the Merge Poker Network. Formerly Poker.com, Carbon is a decently sized online poker room with no shortage of promotional offers geared largely toward small and mid-stakes players, including varied promotions that serve as satellites to larger live tournaments.

Traffic
Carbon Poker is a mid-tier room, and the traffic reflects that. The lobby is very busy at most times of the day for small and mid-stakes no limit holdem, with infrequent higher stakes game. Limit and non-holdem game traffic is fairly low at most hours.
The tournament lobby has an steady offering of multi-table tournaments, which often provide overlay opportunities. The sit and go lobby is less active.
Aesthetics
I like the table design - it’s clean and looks modern. The action buttons are pretty standard. The lobby is laid out in a familiar way, and you have plenty of sorting options. The one issue I have with the look of the games is that when you resize tables to be smaller, stack sizes become difficult to read.
Deposit and Cashout
Carbon offers a fairly standard array of deposit and cash out options, including credit card, moneybookers, Neteller, PinDebit, Foenlinx, Click2Pay, Allied Wallet and ECO card. The turnaround time for physical check cashout is very quick at this room.
Support
Carbon support is generally effective and offers email and live chat support options. Turnaround time for support requests is slightly better than average and support staff generally seem knowledgeable.
Unique Pros / Cons
The lack of PokerTracker and Idleminer support brings with it some plusses and minuses. The downside is obvious - you don’t get to use them- but the upside is that the competition is generally softer due to the lack of support for those software packages.
Carbon offers some unique software features - like rabbit hunting - that you won’t find at other rooms. Custom tournaments are easy to set up on Carbon.
Finally, Carbon’s status as a mid-tier room means that they’re very aggressive about recruiting and holding on to players with promotions - that equals a good value for new players who are bonus-savvy.
