Jason Mercier continues to dominate the live tournament rankings, while Erik Seidel slides and Phil Ivey gets some love. Read on as we round up the Global Poker Index, ESPN’s The Nuts and BLUFF’s power ranking.

Global Poker Index

About the rankings: A ranking of the top live poker players in the world based on their performance over the past 36 months.
The latest rankings (top 10):
1. Jason Mercier
2. Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier
3. Shawn Buchanan
4. Eugene Katchalov
5. David Sands
6. Erik Seidel
7. Fabrice Soulier
8. Sorel Mizzi
9. Vanessa Selbst
10. Stephen O’Dwyer
The skinny: Mercier has been holding down the top spot for a month now. Soulier was the big mover, up 19 spots to get into the top 10 on the strength of a third place finish in a European Poker Tour event. Olivier Busquet, who finished second at the EPT Campione, moved up 20 spots to 15th.

The Nuts: ESPN’s Power Rankings

About the rankings: A subjective ranking of the top poker players in the world, usually done each month.
The latest rankings:
1. Jason Mercier
2. Jonathan Duhamel
3. Phil Ivey
4. Eugene Katchalov
5. Erik Seidel
6. Chris Moorman
7. Vanessa Selbst
8. Shawn Buchanan
9. Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier
10. Sam Trickett

The skinny: The top 10 from last month remain the same, just shuffled in order, with Mercier continuing to hold down the top spot. The ranking notes that Seidel hasn’t cashed since October and his heater is officially over. And Ivey is hanging on at No. 3 despite a lack of results. From the ranking: “Even though he hasn’t done anything this month, I don’t care. It seems like Ivey is committed to being back in the game and I am buying he is still one of the best in the world.”
