July 29th

Week two of nearly nothing happening is upon us, and while the poker world may look slow from the outside, the online world is now just seeing some of the impacts of deals brokered during the WSOP. Sites like NeverWin Poker are getting snatched up left and right as a wave of consolidation hits the content / affiliate arena.

We’re chugging along same as usual, with a Feature Article on strategy for exotic games and a review of PSDollars.com. See you next week.
July 22nd

Welcome to two of the slowest weeks in poker as everyone winds down from another WSOP. ESPN is doing a solid job rolling out this year’s tournament (and if you’re looking for poker on TV, a new season of High Stakes Poker starts up in a couple weeks). The final table was a bit of a yawner, as those things go, and another year is in the books with a relative amateur taking down the title.

As for updates this week, we’ve got two new tournament strategy articles for you to check out.

Another WSOP is almost in the books, and while the biggest story of the year may be the lack of any big stories (and the shrinking field), there’s still a healthy amount of drama left to play out. And if you missed anything, don’t worry - ESPN is rolling out the WSOP 2007 coverage already, and has plenty to show you.

Two new articles of the strategy variety from us this week - enjoy ‘em and check back next week for more.

The main event is in full swing, and as the culmination of a wildly successful WSOP approaches, we can only speculate about what kind of stories will emerge from this year’s main event. Will this be the year a pro takes down the big one? Will it be another online qualifier, creating an awkward situation for Harrah’s?

No matter what happens, we’ll have updates over in our news section, and we’ll be here every Sunday with new content, like the strategy articles and book reviews we added this week.

This week, we’ve got a new strategy article that covers one of the sexiest moves in NLHE - floating the flop. It’s dangerous, but it’s fun as heck when it works out. We’ve also got a review of PokerListings.com.

The WSOP is winding down, but not before the big bang of the main event. We’ll have plenty of WSOP updates in our news section.

Next week, look for more articles. Also, if you haven’t had the chance, check out our new staking site - NeverBeg.com
