Carbon Poker’s got a great promo for low to mid-stakes players (and SNG grinders) running this month – the Win Big in 2010 competition, which is offering up over a half million in cash to players.
Here’s how it works: Carbon has set up a series of VIP point thresholds, and set rewards for players who reach those VIP points (you earn VIP points at Carbon by playing in real money games and tournaments, the same way you earn FPPs at PokerStars). So, play poker, earn points, get cash.
There’s one catch: only so many cash rewards are available at each level (check the chart below for full details). So, for example, the first 100 players to hit the 50,000 VIP threshold get a $500 bonus.
The top prize is pretty sweet: Hit 250,000 VIP points and you get $10,000.00 cash. Not bad for a month of poker.

Rakeback players are eligible for this promotion, but players who are getting rakeback earn VIP points at 70% of the standard rate. Even with that handicap, this promo can still amount to a serious rakeback boost for players.
